ABOUT

My education in holistic nutrition began at a young age. In my food-loving Chinese family, the wisdom of “food as medicine” was passed down through generations. My professional training and practice as a Holistic Nutrition Therapist have allowed me to combine my heritage and belief in the health-supportive powers of food to help people substantively.

Like many before me who entered a healing field, personal health challenges, life transitions, and witnessing loved ones’ struggles motivated me.  Motherhood and experience as a teacher have cultivated my understanding of the important role of food in children’s development, learning process, overall well-being, and, in turn, that of their families.  Accompanying family and friends through complex health challenges and life transitions has taught me to recognize the uniqueness of each individual's needs and strengths.  I have learned that we each carry wisdom and healing powers within ourselves –  a conviction I hold sacred.

Much of what I practice focuses on education.  The most empowering way to help people establish sustainable ways to care for themselves and their loved ones is through open dialogues, investigations and ongoing learning.  I use a personalized approach to guide clients toward physical, mental and emotional well-being.  In collaboration, we create nutrient-dense, whole-food dietary and lifestyle protocols and targetted meal plans to address chronic and acute health challenges and reach realistic goals.  My training in nutrition science, human biochemistry, nutrition factors in illnesses, dietary supplementation, and nutritional testing allows me to provide science-based analyses and recommendations.  My suggestions always align with clients’ holistic needs.
